Get Ready for Dawa's
Youth Nature School
Growing the Next Generation of Family Medicine Keepers
Today’s young people are spending less time outdoors, experiencing higher levels of stress and anxiety, disconnection, and chronic health challenges, more than ever before. Many have never learned where food comes from, how to care for their bodies, or how to connect with nature as a source of healing and wisdom.
Dawa Youth Nature School is an interactive nature and wellness leadership program that helps youth reconnect with themselves, their community, and the natural world. Through hands on
experiences, students learn ancestral foodways, gardening, foraging, body awareness, plant medicine, food preservation, and healthy leadership skills.
Participants don’t just learn about wellness, they practice it. They plant seeds, make herbal remedies, prepare nourishing foods, explore nature, and develop tools they can bring home to their families.

Nature is our first medicine. When young people reconnect with nature, they reconnect with their power.
