About the event
WHEN & WHERE
Saturday, September 10th, 2022 1pm-4pm at Josh Gibson Field behind the Ammon Community Center in the Hill District (All neighborhoods are welcome)
WHAT
This FREE Back to School Community Fundraiser to celebrate family, build community, have fun, get connected to resources, win prizes, learn about nutrition, meet new people, and support community members to be trained as birth workers!
The event includes:
- Activities for the children including field games and face painting
- Food & Music
- Resource vendors and vendors to shop (click here to sign up as a vendor)
- 50/50 Raffle and Giveaways for adults and children (diapers, formula, school supplies, etc.)
- Pop-up Childbirth education class from 2pm-3pm
- Back to School nutrition demo table (including healthy snack ideas for the children)
- And much more!
WHY
We are passionate about the health and well being of our community. Doulas and birth workers are out here saving lives and ensuring that mothers and families are being celebrated, validated and supported. We are raising funds to support people in our community to become birth workers. The role of the community birth workers is essential. With you support we have the opportunity to reestablish healthy thriving communities, before, during, and after childbirth.
